Baden-Württemberg: Connected / bwcon is the top business initiative dedicated to promoting Baden-Württemberg as a key location for innovation and technology. As one of the largest technology networks in Europe, bwcon connects more than 600 businesses and research institutions. Over 5,500 members use the bwcon platform to benefit from systematic networking opportunities. bwcon’s main areas of activity are the creative industries, health care, and information and communication technology (ICT). The network also provides comprehensive advice and assistance to both new and expanding companies.
bwcon organises a wide range of events in its various areas of activity throughout the year, such as Business Roundtables, business lunches involving high-calibre speakers from industry, seminars, and other regular events, including a roadshow for company founders.
A particular highlight is the bwcon: CyberOne High-tech Award, the most important business plan competition in Baden-Württemberg. CyberOne has been held annually since 1998 and is organised by the Baden-Württemberg: Connected – bwcon business initiative. The competition is aimed at company founders and mid-sized growth companies from the high-tech sector. The concepts submitted are evaluated with regard to their degree of innovation, competitive advantage and commercialisation. The high-calibre jury consists of experts from business and science. Prizewinners receive both cash and non-cash prizes worth a total of 110,000 euros. All of the prizes in the competition are funded by sponsors. More information:  www.bwcon.de
